“We’ve been told that people are valuing experiences more than things,” explained Heidi Zuckerman in her toast to 65 guests seated for dinner at 7908 Supper Club on February 16, 2019. The intimate evening was the Aspen Art Museum’s first annual Artist Party and culminated in a live auction featuring one-off experiences with influential contemporary artists across the country. The auction inspired cheers and laughter when one couple, bidding on a private photography session with artist Mickalene Thomas, requested glitter for their portrait sitting. The party was hosted by Dallas and Aspen-based Nancy Rogers and included some of the world’s hottest contemporary artists: Dave Muller, Fred Tomaselli, Pope.L William and Sam Falls. Guests included Kris Jenner, Kyle Richards and Brandon Jenner, who, after drinks and dinner, ventured downstairs for a dance party with professional dancers from Britney Spears’ and Madonna’s troupes. An experience, indeed.
